What is Train The Trainer Course?
- This is a QQI award and on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF). You can combine this course with your existing highest level qualification and train one level beneath this. Alternatively, you can use your experience to date to earn as additional income as a qualified trainer.
- This course is unique as it recognises your previous qualifications and/or experience. Work with our coach PRIOR to starting the course to discuss how relevant it is to your individual career progression journey.
- We help each person define different sectors/areas that they could coach in and help each individual build their profile within the Training & Development world (both private and public).
It is made up of 2 separate modules:
Module 1 Training Needs Identification and Design
Module 2 Training Delivery & Evaluation
Who is this course for?
- Individuals who have an interest in Training and Development and may wish to pursue it as a career.
- Persons who have Training and Development responsibilities in organisations.
- Individuals and teams involved in the design and delivery of training programmes.
- People who wish to gain a formal qualification in Training and Development.
- Managers and team leaders who wish to gain an insight into the training and evaluation process.
Career Options
- Work within a range of public sector areas including ETBs (Education & Training Boards), CEs (Community Employments), and Partnerships as well as any organisation in the FET Sector.
- Many participants have gone on to start their own successful training practices and create new training and development programmes. Others work as contractors within the public and private sectors.
- Many organisations within the private area use the Certificate to make core changes to their organisations Training and Development Strategy and our coach has worked with them on developing customised Training Strategy or Succession Planning Strategy for their businesses

Miriam Durack has over 25 years’ experience as a HR and Recruitment specialist. She has worked with clients across the public and private sectors in Ireland, UK, Europe, Middle East, Australia, USA and Canada. In addition to running a Training & Development business, Miriam works with MIDAS Learning as an Expert Consultant/Trainer in the delivery of a range of tailored programmes for our clients including Training & Development plus HR & Management.
Geraldine Curran
Tutor Co-Ordinator & QA Officer
Geraldine works for MIDAS Learning as a Senior Trainer, Manager of public Training Contracts and most recently has taken on the role of Programme Co-Ordinator and QA Officer. Her extensive experience within environments ranges from working with vulnerable client groups to professional sectors. This gives her the edge in understanding learner needs and how to improve training processes.
Mari Brunnock
MANAGING DIRECTOR / Life & Career Coach
Mari Brunnock has over 20 years’ experience as a Coach in the Public and Social Economy Sectors. Equipped with a Post Grad in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Trinity, a Degree in Marketing and Business and an International Coaching Diploma, she is also a qualified and licensed NLP practitioner. Mari tailors her powerful coaching techniques to the individual needs of her clients, ensuring they achieve a qualification that will enhance their career going forward.
