What is Train The Trainer Course?

  • This is a QQI award and on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF). You can combine this course with your existing highest level qualification and train one level beneath this. Alternatively, you can use your experience to date to earn as additional income as a qualified trainer.
  • This course is unique as it recognises your previous qualifications and/or experience. Work with our coach PRIOR to starting the course to discuss how relevant it is to your individual career progression journey.
  • We help each person define different sectors/areas that they could coach in and help each individual build their profile within the Training & Development world (both private and public).

It is made up of 2 separate modules:

MODULE 1: Training Needs Identification & Design (6N3325)

MODULE 2: Training Delivery & Evaluation (6N3326)

  • Work within a range of public sector areas including ETBs (Education & Training Boards), CEs (Community Employments), and Partnerships as well as any organisation in the FET Sector.
  • Many participants have gone on to start their own successful training practices and create new training and development programmes. Others work as contractors within the public and private sectors.
  • Many organisations within the private area use the Certificate to make core changes to their organisations Training and Development Strategy and our coach has worked with them on developing customised Training Strategy or Succession Planning Strategy for their businesses

Training & Development QQI Level 6

Is This Recognised by QQI?

Yes. You’ll earn a QQI Level 6 Special Purpose Award in Training Delivery & Evaluation, fully recognised across Ireland.

How long does it take to complete?

Each module runs for 6 weeks, one class per week. Assignments are due shortly after the course ends.

What if I can't attend a class?

All sessions are recorded, and you’ll have access to the materials afterwards. Tutors will support you to catch up.

How Much Does the course Cost?

The full course fee is €940 or €495 per module. You can secure your place with a €50 deposit. Grants and flexible payment options are available.

Do I need experience first?

No. The course is designed for beginners as well as people already delivering training who want to get qualified.

What If I Have Questions Or Need Support?

You’ll have direct access to your tutor, plus a dedicated coach to guide you on career or business goals.

Will this help me get a job?

Yes. The qualification is required for most training roles with CE schemes, ETBs, and private providers. You’ll also get career coaching to support your next step.

Can I use this to become self-employed as a trainer?

Absolutely. Many participants go on to deliver their own workshops and training programmes once certified.
